We always lose the good producers and keep the flakes ones. Friday we said goodbye to Alex which was pretty sad because she has such a cool head and when 58 things are thrown at you she caught them all and she was a team player and someone good better fill her shoes.

Yesterday would have been 12 years with #1. This time 12 years ago we were in Disney World on our honeymoon. Well that’s the highlight of our marriage. Today was a holiday and I had to work so I did some cleaning up my work area and odd jobs not directly tied to the show. Weekend well that classified. Lots of things coming up and I’m taking a few days off in part I want to goto church Wednesday night and sleep in Thursday and get my hair trimmed. Friday has some interesting options and I can disclose those.

Some people have asked about AJ and I thought I addressed this previously but here we go. AJ is a talented and hyper focused young lady. I believe that she put herself in my life for a reason but currently a relationship isn’t that reason. AJ has lots on her plate and I wish I could give examples but no one needs their issues aired to the world. I can say over the last few weeks of our relationship things got toxic and her plate got full fast. I have a natural wall that I try to protect myself and the toxicity levels were effectively hurting my work and own live. I did something I’ve only done once but this is the first time I’ve layer it all out. I told her I couldn’t handle this “relationship”.  AJ wasn’t happy and threw out a ton of options and ideas and left by saying I had a week.

So life sucks because I have a hole I opened now empty and if she gets her ducks in a row and timing and life comes together I would be more than willing to see what else is on that road. But right now there’s road closed signs.

I did contact her to see how things were going and she examined she was taking another semester off to work full time and do dancing at night which effectively killed my offer I was going to present. I pray for her and she gets her plate empty so she can play a round of disk golf.

There is only “1” person I have the slightest bit of interest in and she is a unicorn.

Cookout this Friday night I think we’re roasting 3 hogs. I think I’m going to start taking more days off now not in relationships so I don’t have to worry about booking around school.

Welcome to almost Fall as we are pretty much finished with 100+ days and severe weather now dependant on NW flow. I’m in hurricane mode but not even the Gulf is helping me. So Bah. I hadn’t meant to abandon my blog over the past 3 months it’s been more of I get off work ( I hardly ever blog from work) and then immediately go and spent time with someone I called AJ. She had been off for the summer and worked afternoons so it was great. I could see her early and she could do what she wanted on the evenings. We tried several little adventures and I feel we were very compatible and could see a future. Then came the FOG in the crystal ball. First off she never lied to me about her past and I she had full disclosure so there weren’t any surprises on either end.   The Fog arrived when I had planned out a weekend and had her Calendar blocked out so I could execute the plan. However when I was in a meeting and had people asking me 20 things about so many projects AJ called and I took the call rather than voicemail or auto-reply. The call was brief and covered 2 topics one of which meant her choosing her friends or me. I told her to do what she needed because I was not in a position where I could discuss sensitive matters verbally. The call ended and so did my plans. I put a craigslist post up and within 15min someone emailed asking if I still had everything and they wanted it. I said yes but I wasn’t going to budge on the price. The person called me and we meet in an hour and changed my name to theirs on some reservations and I was clean and clear and didn’t lose a dime. Did I mention this was her birthday?.. Yea the florist dropped the ball and neglected to deliver my order and because she had plans and such I didn’t even know she never got anything until a week later. Anyway thats where it got foggy.. She choose friends over me. She had a ton of great qualities and bunches of personality but she lacked in the reciprocation part. I can’t write anything bad because there is no good or bad ending other than it ended.

So, Monday I got a call from a friend that my order for something had come in and I had tried to cancel it but the metal was a certain size and very difficult to cut. However a couple came in asking about a ring that I already had the elements he needed so he refunded my $ along with the design fee and this new couple were able to design and make their own memories.

Today is Thursday and goodness It’s been a week. Maybe I’ll update more later..  Oh say Hi to Goldie the Ambassador for The University of Tulsa!

If you hear a rumor that I’ve been spotted all over the state recently with a drop dead 6′ blonde you heard right. Its not been a big secret yet again it wasn’t Facebook official until this weekend which is I guess is the new norm? Hop over to Facebook if you need pics.. Or drop by and catch us for lunch.

This has been a wacky week. Had some great time with AJ and some long conversations about future. Friday night went to M&R and saw a bunch of newer church related friends and finally was relaxed.  Saturday has been a day reflecting. For the first time in months I need my support system and its failed. AJ doesn’t answer calls text or email.. WTF.  1% is N/A and the next 2 are Mia.  I fucking hate this weekend. I wish I could go in a coma for a few days.

So this year’s 2nd book ened better than one last year. Our sales teams are already waiting on the non-tech versions of ratings to be calculated but it looks like our ad rates will go up some more 🙂

Storms.. wow all thru March and April we waited and waited for a good negative tilt to give us the right mix for some nice rain to help our drought and maybe a tornado or 2. Well once we flipped the Calendar to May and the weather world was all over the “Tornado Drought” until the 19th. We took a few big hits this season so far and I’m glad to say that I should be writing “hundreds maybe a thousand killed or injured” on not just one but 2 storms. Sadly we lost 3 very good and well versed scientists to a tornado that changed its path to quick. Makes me remember my job. Keep my guys safe and be their eyes and know the nearest turn off to retreat.

Something in my rules book posted on one of my blogs says how I don’t date in storm season. It seems that this year I’ll read it as “Don’t ask anyone out” and let it mean “sure I’d like to go out. Thanks for asking”. I can say that the YOUNG lady thats been around has already been in the office when we have been on solid for hours. She has learned that nothing is ever set in stone until the moment is almost there. She has been my quick fix of my version of PTSD so far. I find it odd that when I’m not looking someone turns the tables and throws me a curve ball. I really don’t like not being in control however there is yet nothing to control.

Yesterday I vanished for a bit, saw old friends and noticed that I am getting old and hav been stuck in my ways to much to long and need to explore options out there and not to be rushed into anything. Today was church and a movie followed by work in office before coming home and doing some research.
