TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Zoo keepers in Washington state soon expect to hear the patter of little tiger paws. An endangered Sumatran tiger is expecting at the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. She’ll probably give birth to at least two cubs later this month. Curator Karen Goodrowe Beck says the zoo is preparing for a 24-hour watch. It we’ll go into effect several days before the May 22 due date. The father is Bali, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
